History in Real Estate at Smith Mountain Lake

     The Pagans Family Team began their journey in real estate here at Smith Mountain Lake back in 1985; when Sylvia first obtained her real estate salesperson license. A few years later in 1989, Mike joined with her to form a husband and wife salesperson team. In 1990, Mike decided to expanded his knowledge about the local real estate market by becoming a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser. Over the years, working together as a team, Mike & Sylvia have become well-known and respected in the real estate business here at Smith Mountain Lake.

     Their children, Matthew and Amanda have been around real estate their whole lives; growing up going to open houses and even helping out by putting lake information packages together for prospective clients. It seemed only natural that they joined in the family business after coming back home from college. In 2003, Amanda obtained her salesperson license and started working along with mom and dad. In 2004, Matthew started out by working as an apprentice under Mike to become a real estate appraiser. Later that same year he obtained his real estate salesperson license. Matthew is now both a Realtor and a Certified Real Estate Appraiser. Matthew continues to work with Mike in their self-owned and operated appraisal business.
